1. Open the photo of your pet. In this example we'll use a kitten, a popular choice.
2. Expand the head area. The first thing we'll do is select the Warp tool and set the radius to capture the entire head area. Moving the circle around, we'll click continuously to expand the head and make it proportionally larger than the body.
3. Enlarge the eyes. The most common trait of the pet caricatures seen on greeting cards is larger eyes. To acheive this effect, use the Warp tool and set the radius about 30% bigger than the eye. Click continuously until you've reached the desired size.
4. Apply additional effects. Use the Putty and Warp tools to further refine the caricature. To mimic the greeting card pet caricature style, in our example we've made the ears bigger, pinched in the neck, and used the Putty tool to adjust the eyes and give our kitty a smile!
5. Apply filters. If you wish you can apply additional filters, add talk bubbles, clipart, text and more.
